The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, Small Arms School Corps, this morning visited the monument at the site of the School of Musketry and afterwards unveiled a bas-relief for the monument at the Bowling Club, Ladies Walk, Hythe, and was received by Major Dennis Bradley (Deputy Lieutenant of Kent).
His Royal Highness later opened the offices of Working Rite at 7 Cambridge Road, Hastings, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord- Lieutenant of East Sussex (Mr. Peter Field).
The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Lunch followed by a Reception for Kick Start Kent at Maidstone Museum and Bentlif Art Gallery, St. Faith’s Street, Maidstone, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L’Isle).
His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception given by His Excellency the Ambassador from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Embassy, 30-32 Charles Street, London W1.
