COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening for recently retired and appointed Lord-Lieutenants.

The Earl of Wessex, The Princess Royal, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were present.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, the Royal Shakespeare Company, this morning visited the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Waterside, Stratford-upon-Avon, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire (Mr Timothy Cox).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited King Edward VI School, Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon.

The Prince of Wales afterwards visited Shakespeare Hospice, Church Lane, Stratford-upon-Avon.

His Royal Highness later visited Warwick School, Myton Road, Warwick, and was received by Mr Hamish Gray-Cheape (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire).

The Prince of Wales subsequently visited Warwick Castle.

His Royal Highness, President, the Royal Shakespeare Company, this evening attended a performance of “Henry IV Part 1” at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Chairman of the Steering Board, this afternoon held a Meeting for Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Trustees, Lakefield College School, later received Ms Sarah McMahon (Chief Executive Officer, Lakefield College School Foundation).

The Duke of York this evening held a Dinner at St James’s Palace on the occasion of the UK-China Business Leaders Summit.

Buckingham Palace

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Reception to mark the Twentieth Anniversary of the Children with Special Needs Foundation at Wentworth Club, Wentworth Drive, Virginia Water, and was received by Mrs Karin Sehmer (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the British Nutrition Foundation, this afternoon launched Healthy Eating Week for Schools at Portsmouth Academy for Girls, St Mary’s Road, Portsmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Dame Mary Fagan).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Hornet Services Sailing Club, later attended the D-Day Seventieth Anniversary Services Offshore Regatta, followed by a Reception to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of Hornet Services Sailing Club, Haslar Road, Gosport, Hampshire.
