Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited the Mayor of Paris (Madame Anne Hidalgo) at the Hôtel de Ville.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness afterwards visited the Marché aux Fleurs and were received by The President of the French Republic.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, re-named the market “Marché aux Fleurs Reine Elizabeth II”, before meeting cyclists, French schoolchildren, young Parisians and a local youth band.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness afterwards departed Vélizy- Villacoublay Air Base upon the conclusion of the State Visit to France.

The President of the French Republic was present and bade farewell to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The following were in attendance: the Lady Susan Hussey, the Rt Hon Sir Christopher Geidt, Ms Samantha Cohen, Surgeon Captain David Hett RN, Brigadier Archie Miller-Bakewell and Mr James Roscoe.

The Queen, with The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy, honoured Epsom Races with her presence today.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Chairman of the Trustees, today attended a Trustees’ Meeting of Lakefield College School Foundation in Ontario, Canada.

His Royal Highness this evening departed from Ontario for the United Kingdom.
