COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling was received by The Queen today upon relinquishing her appointment as Governor-General of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

General the Hon David Hurley (Governor-General designate of the Commonwealth of Australia) was received in audience by Her Majesty this afternoon.

The Governor-General designate of the Commonwealth of Australia and Mrs Hurley were invited to Luncheon with The Queen.

The Duke of Cambridge was present.

The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Melvyn Stride MP, the Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP (Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government), the Rt Hon David Gauke MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) and the Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP (Chancellor of the Exchequer).

The Queen declared in Council the Rt Hon Melvyn Stride MP Lord President of the Council, who took the Oath of Office and kissed hands on his appointment.

The Rt Hon Melvyn Stride MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Queen was represented by Professor Sir John Cunningham (formerly Head of the Medical Household) at the Service of Celebration for the Life of Dr Peter Fisher (Physician to The Queen) which was held in the Church of St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London WC2, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales was represented by Dr Michael Dixon.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Ms Cristal Sumner.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning received Sir William Worsley (HM Government’s Tree Champion).

His Royal Highness received General the Hon David Hurley (Governor-General designate of the Commonwealth of Australia).

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Foundation, this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House for the Castle of Mey Trust.

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Trust Group, afterwards held a Meeting.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust Group, this evening attended a Youth Can Do It Reception, Phillips, Berkeley Square, London W1, and was received by Mr Justin Packshaw (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duchess of Cornwall, Honorary Patron, Fulham Palace Trust, this afternoon attended the Fulham Palace Restoration Launch, Fulham Palace, Bishop’s Avenue, London SW6, and was received by Mrs Sandra Cahill (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness later attended a Bees for Development Garden Party at Marlborough House, London SW1.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Royal Osteoporosis Society, this evening attended
a Reception in London.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, Action on Addiction, this evening attended a Gala Dinner at Spring Restaurant, Somerset House, Lancaster Place, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Sussex this morning attended the launch of Made by Sport at Black Prince Trust, Beaufoy Walk, London SE11, and was received by Mrs Colleen Harris (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of York, Founder, Pitch@Palace, this afternoon held a Pitch@Palace 11.0 at St James’s Palace for entrepreneurs and supporters.

The Earl of Wessex, Patron, the London Garden Society, this morning toured the Floating Barges Gardens, Tower Bridge Moorings, London SE1, and Cannon Bridge Roof Gardens, Cannon Bridge Properties, 1 Cousins Lane, London EC4, and was received by Colonel Simon Duckworth (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Tennis and Rackets Association, this afternoon attended a Lunch and Reception at The Queen’s Club, Palliser Road, Hammersmith, London W14.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited the Bekaa Valley region, Lebanon.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Awareness Foundation, today attended a Luncheon at the British Embassy, Serail Hill, Embassy Complex, Beirut Central District.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Women, Peace and Security Meeting at the British Embassy.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner on women’s participation in decision making, at the residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Lebanese Republic in Beirut.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Townswomen’s Guilds, this morning attended the Annual General Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse, Evesham Road, Cheltenham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Mr Edward Gillespie).

Her Royal Highness, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, this afternoon opened the new Training Centre at Lowlands Farm, Old Warwick Road, Shrewley, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire (Mr Timothy Cox).

The Princess Royal, Fourth Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this evening attended the Wardens’ Strategy Meeting at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, UK Youth, later attended a Dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, Hamilton Place, Park Lane, London W1, and was received by Dr Paul Knapman (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
