The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, this morning opened Scott and Charters (Hawick) Limited Knitwear Factory, Fairhurst Drive, Hawick, Roxburghshire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Roxburgh, Ettrick and Lauderdale (the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Hawico, Duke Street, Hawick.

The Princess Royal, Patron, UK Coaching, this morning received Mrs Gillian Wilmot upon relinquishing her appointment as Chairman and Mr Atholl Duncan upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Past Master, the Worshipful Company of Butchers, later opened the renovated Butchers’ Hall and attended a Court Meeting and Luncheon, 87 Bartholomew Close, London EC1.
