Buckingham Palace

The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Jacob Rees-Mogg, MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Priti Patel, MP (Secretary of State for the Home Department), the Rt Hon Alok Sharma, MP (Secretary of State for International Development) and the Rt Hon Gavin Williamson, MP (Secretary of State for Education).

The Rt Hon Michael Ellis, MP, the Rt Hon Sir Bernard McCloskey, the Rt Hon Jesse Norman, MP, and the Rt Hon Valerie Vaz, MP, were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Privy Council.

The Rt Hon Sir Richard Arnold and the Rt Hon Dame Ingrid Simler made affirmation as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council. Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Jacob Rees-Mogg, MP, had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson, MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury), had an audience of The Queen this evening.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Royal Founding Patron, Business in the Community, this afternoon held a Meeting at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness afterwards held a Meeting with representatives from the Duchy of Lancaster.

The Prince of Wales subsequently held a Meeting with representatives from the Crown Estate.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning held a Reception for SafeLives at Clarence House.

Her Royal Highness, President, the Royal Osteoporosis Society, this afternoon received Mrs Claire Severgnini upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this afternoon received Mr Joseph Hart (professional footballer, Burnley Football Club).

His Royal Highness, Patron, later attended a Reception at St James’s Palace to mark the 150th anniversary of the Metropolitan and City Police Orphans Fund.

The Duchess of Cambridge this morning visited the Ark Open Farm, 296 Bangor Road, Newtownards, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Co Down (Mr David Lindsay).

Her Royal Highness later visited the Social Bite Café, 516 Union Street, Aberdeen, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Aberdeen (Councillor Barney Crockett, the Lord Provost).

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chancellor, University of Bath, this afternoon held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, this evening held a Dinner for the University of Bath.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, this afternoon visited Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, the Avenue, Hampton, Middlesex, and was received by Mrs Gillian Norton (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, 100 Women in Finance, this evening attended a Dinner at the Banqueting House, Whitehall, London SW1.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal this morning opened Danemore Sheltered Housing Scheme, Danemore, Beachy Path, Tenterden, and was received by Mr Richard Oldfield (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Kent).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Stevenson Brothers Rocking Horse Makers, Ashford Road, Bethersden, Kent.

The Princess Royal, Fourth Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Court Winter Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Kenya.

Lieutenant-Colonel Alastair Todd was in attendance.

His Royal Highness, President, Crown Agents Foundation, this afternoon attended a Tea at Buckingham Palace.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Turn2us, this afternoon received Mr Thomas Lawson (Chief Executive).

Her Royal Highness, President, this evening visited Princess Helena College, Preston, to celebrate the Bicentenary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire (Mr Robert Voss).
