Major Jeremy Fern (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Malawi and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

Mr Vincent Thompson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Essex) was present at Stansted Airport, London, this evening upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Kenya and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.

Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex) was present at Stansted Airport, London, this evening upon the Arrival of The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal this morning opened Hartley Hospital, 1B Curzon Road, Southport, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside (Mr Mark Blundell).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Alt House, the headquarters of the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (North West and Isle of Man), Altcar Training Camp, Hightown, Sefton, Merseyside.

The Princess Royal later visited Sefton Park Palm House, Sefton Park, Merseyside, to mark its One Hundred and Twenty Fifth Anniversary.
