St James’s Palace

The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this evening attended a Reception for the Orbis Surgical Fund at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, 35-43 Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London WC2.

The Princess Royal this morning opened the Paediatric Emergency Department at Northampton General Hospital, Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust, Cliftonville, Northampton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire (Mr James Saunders Watson).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Northgate School Arts College, Harborough Road, Kingsthorpe, Northampton, and was received by Mr James Lowther (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire).

The Princess Royal later visited the Indian Hindu Welfare Organisation, Weston Favell Parish Hall, Booth Lane South, Northampton, to mark its Twenty Fifth Anniversary and the Fifth Anniversary of the Chai and Chat Ladies Group.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning officially opened the Hold, Suffolk Archive Centre, 131 Fore Street, Ipswich, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk (Clare, Countess of Euston).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the University of Suffolk, Waterfront Building, 19 Neptune Quay, Ipswich.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited Tranmer House, Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge, Suffolk.

The Duke of Kent, President, the Army and Navy Club, this evening attended a Reception at 36-39, Pall Mall, London SW1, to welcome new members from the former Naval Club.
