Windsor Castle

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), today received Lieutenant Colonel Fraser McLemen via video link upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Graeme Craig upon assuming the appointment, and Brigadier David Allfrey upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel and Brigadier Benjamin Edwards upon assuming the appointment.

General Sir Nicholas Carter was received by Her Majesty upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief of the Defence Staff.

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen via telephone this evening.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of Her Majesty, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this afternoon.

By command of The Queen, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr Tarek Adel at 75 South Audley Street, London W1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Court of St James’s.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, International Rescue Committee, this afternoon visited the United Nations Refugee Agency Community Centre, Amman.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited the Royal Scientific Society, Amman.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust International, and Vice Patron, the British Council, afterwards attended the Centenary Climate Awards at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Amman.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended a Reception to mark the Centenary of British-Jordanian relations at the Jordan Museum, Amman.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Princess Taghreed Secondary School for Girls, Amman.

Her Royal Highness, President, WOW — Women of the World, later attended a Reception at the Manara Arts and Culture Centre, Amman.

The Duke of Cambridge this morning attended a Duchy of Cornwall Meeting at 10 Buckingham Gate, London SW1.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Overseas Territories Joint Ministerial Council Meeting at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, 22 Whitehall, London SW1.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this morning held an Early Years Meeting.

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening held a Reception.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, St George’s Society of New York, this afternoon received Mr Frank Morgan (President) and Mrs Clare Risman (Executive Director).

His Royal Highness, Patron, St George’s Society of New York, this evening attended the Council Advisory Dinner at St James’ Court Hotel, 54 Buckingham Gate, London SW1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, and President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, this morning attended a Funeral and Burial Service and laid wreaths in remembrance of eight First World War soldiers of 11th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, and one unknown soldier, at Tyne Cot Cemetery, Ieper (Ypres), Belgium, and this afternoon attended a Reception at the Old Cheese Factory, Zonnebeke, for members of the families of those who were buried this morning.

His Royal Highness later arrived at Royal Air Force Northolt from Belgium.

Mr Nicholas Turnbull was in attendance.

Princess Alexandra, President, Royal Humane Society, this afternoon attended the Stanhope Gold Medal Luncheon at Fishmongers’ Hall, London EC4.
