COURT CIRCULAR

Windsor Castle

His Excellency Mr Carles Jordana Madero was received in audience by The Queen this morning via video link and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Principality of Andorra to the Court of St James’s. Mrs Soraia Maria Valls Pinilla was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Kedella Younous Hamidis was received in audience by The Queen via video link and presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Chad to the Court of St James’s.

Ms Juliet Chua (Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Director General for Finance and Corporate) was present.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning attended a Special Council Meeting at the Council Chamber, Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, at which His Royal Highness presented the Letters Patent confirming Southend-on-Sea’s City Status, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards unveiled a new eco-friendly Pier Train at Southend Pier and Railway, Western Esplanade, Southend-on-Sea, and subsequently attended a Reception for volunteers and community leaders.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon attended an Accounting for Sustainability Roundtable at St James’s Palace.

His Royal Highness later held a Tea at Clarence House for supporters of the Powerlist Black Excellence Awards.

Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this morning visited Pant Farm, Llanvetherine, Abergavenny, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent (Brigadier Robert Aitken).

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited Abergavenny Market, 61 Cross Street, Abergavenny.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge afterwards visited the Hwb Torfaen, 69 Broad Street, Blaenavon, Pontypool.

Their Royal Highnesses subsequently planted a tree for The Queen’s Green Canopy at Blaenavon World Heritage Centre, Church Road, Blaenavon.

St James’s Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning visited Essex and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance Trust, Merlin Way, North Weald Airfield, North Weald, and were received by Mr Vincent Thompson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Essex).

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited the Integration Support Services at Falcon English School, Latton Bush Centre, Southern Way, Harlow, Essex.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex subsequently visited North Hertfordshire Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centre, Resolve House, 70 Openshaw Way, Letchworth, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire (Mr Robert Voss).

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Chancellor, the University of London, this afternoon opened Kofoworola Ward at Shepherd’s House, Guy’s Campus at King’s College London, London SE1, and was received by Colonel Simon Duckworth (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Swinfen Telemedicine, later received the Lord Swinfen upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and the Hon Mr Charles Eady upon assuming the appointment.

Lady Swinfen (Director) and the Hon Mrs Katherine Davies (Trustee) were present.

The Princess Royal, Court Member, the Fishmongers’ Company, this evening attended a Livery Civic Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Patron, this evening attended a Concert to commemorate the Two Hundred and Twelfth Anniversary of the birth of Frédéric Chopin, Polish Hearth Club, 55 Princes Gate, London SW7, and was received by Mrs Rosemary Prescott (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
