COURT CIRCULAR
Windsor Castle
The Prince of Wales and The Duke of Cambridge, acting in their capacity as Counsellors of State for The Queen, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall, travelled to the Palace of Westminster this morning to open the Session of Parliament and were received at the Sovereign’s Entrance by the Marquess of Cholmondeley (Lord Great Chamberlain) and the Duke of Norfolk (Earl Marshal).
The Queen’s Guard was found by 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards, under the command of Major Henry Greeves, and a Guard of Honour was mounted at the Palace of Westminster by 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards with The State Colour, under the command of Major Robert Philp.
A staircase party of The Household Cavalry was on duty at Victoria Tower, House of Lords, under the command of Captain Mark Quickfield.
Royal Salutes were fired in Hyde Park by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, under the command of Captain Amy Cooper, and from the Tower of London Saluting Battery by the Honourable Artillery Company, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Adam Bate.
The Imperial State Crown, the Cap of Maintenance and the Sword of State were conveyed previously to the House of Lords.
Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms was on duty in the Prince’s Chamber and the Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty in the Royal Gallery.
The Ladies and Gentlemen of the Household were in attendance at the Palace of Westminster.
Clarence House
The Prince of Wales this afternoon attended a Sustainable Markets Initiative Roundtable at St James’s Palace.
His Royal Highness afterwards received Princess Astrid of Belgium.
The Prince of Wales this evening attended a Reception to mark the Centenary of the Society of St Augustine of Canterbury at Archbishop’s House, Ambrosden Avenue, London SW1.
Kensington Palace
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon attended the opening of the Glade of Light Memorial, Victoria Street, Manchester, for victims of the 2017 Manchester Arena bombings, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Sir Warren Smith).
St James’s Palace
The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning planted a tree in celebration of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee at Forest Primary School, Rue des Landes, Alderney.
Their Royal Highnesses subsequently visited the Alderney Railway, 7 Rue de Beaumont, St Anne, Alderney.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex visited Alderney Wildlife Trust Office, 48 Victoria Street, St Anne, to mark their Twentieth Anniversary.
Their Royal Highnesses later attended a Reception with the States of Alderney political representatives and representatives from the emergency services at Island Hall, Royal Connaught Square, Alderney.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex subsequently planted a tree in commemoration of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Sark.

St James’s Palace
The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this morning chaired the Quarterly Meeting of the Court and attended a Luncheon at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.
Her Royal Highness, President, the City and Guilds of London Institute, this afternoon met representatives from the Thames Skills Academy onboard MV Edwardian, Butler’s Wharf Pier, Shad Thames, London SE1, and was received by Professor David Phoenix (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
The Princess Royal later received Princess Astrid of Belgium and afterwards Their Royal Highnesses laid wreaths at the Edith Cavell Monument, 10 St Martin’s Place, London WC2, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).
The Princess Royal, Patron, Opportunity International UK, this evening held a Reception at St James’s Palace.
Kensington Palace
The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Turn2us, this afternoon received Mrs Sally O’Sullivan upon relinquishing her appointment as Chairman and Ms Carrie Stokes upon assuming the appointment.
Mr Thomas Lawson (Chief Executive) was present.
