His Royal Highness this afternoon held a Meeting for the Sustainable Markets Initiative.

St James’s Palace
The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning visited Glacis Field, Jersey, to unveil a saluting gun battery commissioned to commemorate The Duke of Edinburgh.
Their Royal Highnesses later attended Jersey’s Liberation Day Service at Liberation Square, St Helier.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex subsequently met senior citizens and viewed the Liberation Day March Past at the Pomme d’Or Hotel, Liberation Square.
Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon departed from Jersey for Guernsey and, having been received upon arrival by the Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Bailiwick of Guernsey (Lieutenant General Richard Cripwell), undertook the following engagements.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex attended a Liberation Day Tea Dance at Beau Sejour Leisure Centre, Amherst, St Peter Port.
Their Royal Highnesses afterwards attended a Church Service at Castle Cornet.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex subsequently viewed the Liberation Cavalcade from Guernsey Yacht Club, Castle Emplacement.
Their Royal Highnesses this evening attended a Dinner at les Cotils, l’Hyvreuse.

The Duke of Kent, Patron, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, this evening attended a Gala Concert at the Royal Horticultural Halls, 80 St Vincent Square, London SW1.

The Queen has been pleased to appoint the Reverend Professor John Swinton to be a Chaplain to Her Majesty in Scotland in succession to the Reverend Alistair Bennett.
