General Sir Mark Carleton-Smith was received by The Queen today upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief of the General Staff.

The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this evening held a Meeting with The President of the French Republic via telephone.

His Royal Highness afterwards held a Meeting with Mr Olaf Scholz (Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany) via telephone.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this morning held a Meeting via video link with Professor Eamon McCrory (Professor of Developmental Neuroscience and Psychopathology, University College London), Dr Alain Grégoire (President and Founder of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance) and Ms Kelly Beaver (Chief Executive, Ipsos UK and Ireland).

Her Royal Highness, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, afterwards held an Early Years Meeting.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this afternoon received Lady Pinsent (Trustee).

St James’s Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for Gibraltar and were received upon arrival this afternoon at Gibraltar International Airport by the Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Gibraltar (His Excellency Vice Admiral Sir David Steel) and the Chief Minister of Gibraltar (the Hon Mr Fabian Picardo).

Their Royal Highnesses later visited the Headquarters of the Nautilus Project, Ocean Village.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this evening attended a Dinner given by the Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Gibraltar at the Convent, Main Street.

Mrs Angus Galletley and Mr Alexander Stonor are in attendance.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, British Cardiovascular Society, this morning attended the Centenary Conference at Manchester Central Convention Complex, Windmill Street, Manchester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Sir Warren Smith).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Save the Children UK, this afternoon received Mrs Gwen Hines (Chief Executive Officer).

The Princess Royal later attended Beating Retreat, followed by a Reception, to commemorate the Fortieth Anniversary of the Falkland Islands Conflict, the Palace of Westminster, London SW1.

Her Royal Highness, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this evening attended a Younger Brethrens’ Dinner at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, this evening attended a performance by the Royal Academy of Music at Apsley House, Hyde Park Corner, London W1.
