Windsor Castle

The Queen held a Privy Council via video link at 2.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Mark Spencer MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Nadine Dorries MP (Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport), the Rt Hon George Eustice MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) and the Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP (Secretary of State for Transport).

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty via telephone this evening.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this afternoon attended the Benefact Group Service of Thanksgiving in Westminster Abbey, London SW1.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this afternoon visited Little Village, Uncle Building, 7 Park Lane, Wembley, Middlesex.

St James’s Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, today carried out engagements in Gibraltar.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited Moorish Castle.

The Earl of Wessex afterwards visited Gibraltar’s Northern Defences.

His Royal Highness later visited Gibraltar Garrison Library.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Lunch at Bistro Point.

The Earl of Wessex later visited the University of Gibraltar.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited HM Naval Base. The Earl and Countess of Wessex this evening attended The Queen’s Birthday Party Reception, and afterwards attended a Sunset Ceremony at the Convent, Main Street.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited Clubhouse Gibraltar, Main Street.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited the Adapted Surfing Project at Sandy Bay.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon visited Special Olympics Gibraltar. Her Royal Highness later visited the Governor’s Look Out.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, President, Carers Trust, this morning received Ms Kirsty McHugh upon assuming her appointment as Chief Executive Officer.

Her Royal Highness, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, later attended the Trinitytide Anniversary Annual Court Meeting, Church Service and Luncheon at Trinity House, Tower Hill, London EC3.

The Princess Royal, Patron, UK Youth, this afternoon visited the Creative Youth Network at the Station, Silver Street, Bristol, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs Peaches Golding).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this morning received Mr Stuart Shilson upon assuming his appointment as Prior of the Priory of England and the Islands. Mr Michael Messinger (Chancellor of the Priory of England and the Islands) was present.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Royal Patron, Prostate Cancer UK, this evening attended a Reception at Working Title Films, 26 Aybrook Street, London W1.

The Duke of Kent, Royal Colonel, 1st Battalion The Rifles, this evening attended Sounding Retreat on Horse Guards Parade, London SW1.
