The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace in advance of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting at which The Duchess of Gloucester was present.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Colonel-in-Chief, The Rifles, this evening took the salute at Sounding Retreat on Horse Guards Parade, London SW1.

St James’s Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, today carried out the following engagements in Gibraltar.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning attended The Queen’s Birthday Parade in Parade Square.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex today visited St Martin’s School and formally named the Education Campus.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by the Hon Fabian Picardo (Chief Minister of Gibraltar) at Grand Battery House, Coral Road.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this evening arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Gibraltar.

Mr Alexander Stonor and Mrs Angus Galletley were in attendance.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Save the Children UK, this afternoon attended a Reception at Kensington Palace Pavilion, Kensington Gardens, London W8.

Her Royal Highness, Fellow, the Royal Society, this evening attended a Royal Society Club Dinner at 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning officially opened the Spitfire Gallery at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Bethesda Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr Ian Dudson).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the Young Men’s Christian Association North Staffordshire, Harding Road, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, and presented The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Promoting Opportunity.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Port Vale Foundation Trust, Port Vale Football Club, Hamil Road, Stoke-on-Trent.

The Duke of Gloucester, Royal Colonel, 6th Battalion The Rifles, and The Duchess of Gloucester, Royal Colonel, 7th Battalion The Rifles, this evening attended Sounding Retreat on Horse Guards Parade, London SW1.

Appendix to Court Circular

The Queen has been pleased to appoint the Reverend Moira McDonald to be a Chaplain to Her Majesty in Scotland in succession to the Very Reverend Dr John Chalmers.
