By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Adrian O’Neill at 17 Grosvenor Place SW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Ireland to the Court of St James’s.

The Earl of Wessex, Vice Patron, Commonwealth Games Federation, and The Countess of Wessex today attended the XXII Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Princess Alexandra, Patron, the Belted Galloway Cattle Society, this afternoon visited the Wigtown Show, Bladnoch Park, Newton Stewart, to mark the Centenary of the Society and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wigtownshire (Mrs Aileen Brewis).
