Balmoral Castle

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, accompanied by The Raja Permaisuri Agong, visited The King at Buckingham Palace this afternoon.

The King held a Council at Buckingham Palace at 4pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Penelope Mordaunt MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury), the Rt Hon Sir Robert Buckland MP (Secretary of State for Wales), the Rt Hon Alister Jack MP (Secretary of State for Scotland), the Rt Hon Ben Wallace MP (Secretary of State for Defence) and the Rt Hon Christopher Heaton-Harris MP (Secretary of State for Northern Ireland).

The Rt Hon Edward Argar MP, the Rt Hon Simon Case, the Rt Hon Stephen McPartland MP, the Rt Hon John Mercer MP, the Rt Hon Christopher Philp MP and the Rt Hon Thomas Tugendhat MP were sworn in as members of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

The Rt Hon Graham Stuart MP made affirmation as a member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

The Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office as First Lord of the Treasury.

The Rt Hon Christopher Heaton-Harris MP took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The King at Buckingham Palace this evening.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Prince of Wales, President, the Earthshot Prize, this afternoon held a Meeting with Ms Michelle Wu (Mayor of Boston).

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, today attended Meetings at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Aleea Stadionului, Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended a Dinner held by The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Romania at Casa Boema, Strada Iuliu Maniu, Cluj-Napoca.

The Countess of Wessex this morning was received upon arrival at Kamuzu International Airport, Lilongwe, by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Malawi (Her Excellency Ms Fiona Ritchie).

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner to celebrate the Elimination of Trachoma in Malawi at the Sunbird Waterfront Hotel, Salima.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, this afternoon held a Fiftieth Anniversary of Patronage Reception at St James’s Palace.

Her Royal Highness later attended the Annual National Service for Seafarers in St Paul’s Cathedral, London EC4.

The Princess Royal, Court Member, the Fishmongers’ Company, this evening attended the Court Autumn Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

The Duke of Gloucester, President, Christ’s Hospital, this morning received Mr Simon Reid (Chief Executive Officer) and Ms Jenny Baxter (Clerk and Chief Operating Officer).
