Balmoral Castle

The King this afternoon officially reopened the Burrell Collection, Pollok Country Park, 2060 Pollokshaws Road, Bellahouston, Glasgow, following its six-year-long renovation and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Jacqueline McLaren, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

His Majesty, escorted by Ms Jane Rowlands (Senior Museums Manager), toured the Collection and met members of staff, volunteers, trustees and supporters.

The Queen Consort this morning met Independent Domestic Violence Advisers, survivors of domestic abuse and representatives of the domestic abuse service at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, 369 Fulham Road, London SW10, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Kensington Palace

The Prince and Princess of Wales this afternoon attended a Reception to mark the Tenth Anniversary of Coach Core at Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London E20, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, today carried out the following engagements in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

His Royal Highness this morning visited Academia de Fotbal Viitorul Cluj, Baza Sportiva Dan Anca, Aleea Detunata.

The Earl of Wessex today attended Meetings at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Aleea Stadionului.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception at University Babes-Bolyai, Strada Mihail Kogalniceanu, for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

The Countess of Wessex today carried out engagements in Malawi.

Her Royal Highness this morning visited the Maganga Clinic, Maganga Town, Salima.

The Countess of Wessex later met beneficiaries and medical professionals of the Trachoma Elimination programmes in Mgawi Village.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Salima Airstrip for World Sight Day.

The Countess of Wessex this evening attended a Dinner given by The President of the Republic of Malawi at State House, Lilongwe.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK), this morning attended the Women in Logistics Annual Conference at Volvo Trucks UK and Ireland, Wedgnock Lane, Warwick, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire (Mr Timothy Cox).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Catch22, this afternoon received Mr Christopher Wright upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive Officer and Ms Naomi Hulston upon assuming the appointment.

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, received Mrs Michele Jennings upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive Officer.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, this evening attended a Reception at the House of Commons, London SW1.

The Princess Royal, Life Vice President, National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs, subsequently attended a Ninetieth Anniversary Dinner at the Farmers Club, 3 Whitehall Court, London SW1, and was received by Mr Rupert Goodman (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
