St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, today attended Meetings at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Aleea Stadionului, Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

His Royal Highness received Mr Emil Boc (Mayor of Cluj-Napoca).

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended the Closing Ceremony Dinner of the Forum.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited Kamuzu Central Hospital, Lilongwe, Malawi.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon departed Kamuzu International Airport, Lilongwe, for Ethiopia and was received later upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (His Excellency Dr Alastair McPhail).

The Countess of Wessex this evening called upon The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia at the Presidential Palace, Addis Ababa.

The Princess Royal, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, this morning visited the North Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Group at Havard Stables, Dinas Cross, Newport, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed (Miss Sara Edwards).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Haverfordwest High School at Queensway, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.

The Princess Royal later attended the World Rowing Coastal Championships Beach Sprints and opened the Coastal Schooner Interpretation Centre at Saundersfoot Harbour National Events Deck, Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Gravesend Regeneration Project, Bath Street, Gravesend, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Lady Colgrain).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Cyclopark, Watling Street, Gravesend, to mark the Tenth Anniversary of the Cyclopark Charity Trust.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Construction Youth Trust, afterwards visited Ebbsfleet United Football Club, the Kuflink Stadium, Stonebridge Road, Northfleet, Kent.

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, Bridewell Royal Hospital, King Edward’s School, Witley, this morning officially opened the Exhibition Hall and afterwards attended the Admissions Day Service at King Edward’s School, Witley, Godalming, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr Michael More-Molyneux).
