Buckingham Palace
Her Excellency Dr Fatou Bensouda was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Republic of the Gambia in London.
Mr Philip Bensouda was also received by His Majesty.
His Excellency Mr Martin Fraser was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Ireland to the Court of St James’s.
Mrs Fraser was also received by His Majesty.
Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.
The King and The Queen Consort this afternoon visited the Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington, London SW7, to view the “Africa Fashion” exhibition and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Chairman of the Museum (Sir Nicholas Coleridge) and Dr Tristram Hunt (Director).
Their Majesties toured the exhibition, escorted by Dr Christine Checinska (Senior Curator, Africa and Diaspora: Textiles and Fashion) and Ms Elisabeth Murray (Project Curator, Africa Fashion), and afterwards attended a Reception.
The Queen Consort today received Mr Joseph Coelho (Children’s Laureate) and Ms Diana Gerald (Chief Executive, Book Trust).
Her Majesty, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Halton, received Group Captain Fergus Garwood upon assuming his appointment as Station Commander.
The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this afternoon.
Kensington Palace
The Prince and Princess of Wales, Joint Patrons, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this morning met the Two Ridings Community Foundation youth grant panel and beneficiaries of the funding generated to support local young people’s mental health, at the Street, Coast and Vale Community Action, 12 Lower Clark Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited the Rainbow Centre, Castle Road, Scarborough.

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for the United States of America and was received upon arrival this evening at Washington Dulles International Airport by Brigadier Paul Tennant (Military Attaché representing His Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States of America).
Captain Andrew Aspden RN is in attendance.
The Countess of Wessex, Patron, David Lewis Centre, this morning visited David Lewis School, Mill Lane, Warford, Alderley Edge, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire (Lady Redmond).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Paces Campus, Thorncliffe Hall, Newton Chambers Road, Chapeltown, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Professor Dame Hilary Chapman).
The Countess of Wessex later visited Blend Kitchen, Wards Exchange, 197 Ecclesall Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

The Princess Royal, Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), St John Ambulance, this morning received Mr Stuart Shilson upon assuming his appointment as Prior.
Her Royal Highness, President, British Olympic Association, this evening attended a Team GB Dinner at Rosewood London, 252 High Holborn, London WC1.

The Duke of Kent this morning planted a tree for The Queen’s Green Canopy at Hatfield Park, Hatfield, and was received by Mr Anthony Chapman (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire).
