Buckingham Palace
The King and The Queen Consort this morning arrived at Micklegate Bar, York, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (Mrs Johanna Ropner) and the Lord Mayor of York (Councillor David Carr), who surrendered to The King and The Queen Consort the Sword of the City, which Their Majesties returned to him.
The King and The Queen Consort afterwards drove to York Minster and were received at the Great West Door by the Archbishop of York (the Most Reverend and Rt Hon Stephen Cottrell) and the Acting Dean of York Minster (Canon Michael Smith).
Their Majesties attended a Service to mark the Unveiling and Blessing of a Statue of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The King, accompanied by The Queen Consort, afterwards unveiled a statue of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the West Front of the Minster.
The King, accompanied by The Queen Consort, having been received at the Mansion House, 45 High Street, Doncaster, by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Dame Hilary Chapman) and the Civic Mayor of Doncaster (Councillor Ian Pearson), this afternoon conferred City Status on Doncaster and subsequently attended a Reception for members of the local community.
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria visited His Majesty this afternoon. The King held a Council at 4.30pm.
There were present: the Rt Hon Penelope Mordaunt MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Stephen Barclay MP, the Rt Hon Dr Thérèse Coffey MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), the Rt Hon Michelle Donelan MP (Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) and the Rt Hon Oliver Dowden MP (Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster).
The Rt Hon Victoria Ford MP, the Rt Hon John Glen MP, the Rt Hon James Heappey MP, the Rt Hon Sir Thomas Horner, the Lord Matthews and the Rt Hon Jeremy Quin MP were sworn in as members of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.
The Rt Hon Stephen Barclay MP received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, took the Oath of Office and kissed hands on appointment. Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.
The Rt Hon Sir Clive Alderton (Principal Private Secretary to Their Majesties) and the Rt Hon Sir Edward Young (Joint Principal Private Secretary to His Majesty) were in attendance on The King.
The Rt Hon Penelope Mordaunt MP had an audience of His Majesty before the Council.
The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The King this evening.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, this morning attended a Meeting with the Duchy of Cornwall Rural Committee at 10 Buckingham Gate, London SW1.
His Royal Highness, Patron, Child Bereavement UK, this evening attended the Chairman’s Dinner at Oswald’s, 25 Albemarle Street, London W1.
The Princess of Wales, Patron, the Maternal Mental Health Alliance, this morning visited Colham Manor Children’s Centre, Violet Avenue, Uxbridge, Middlesex.

The Earl of Wessex, Patron, Northern Ballet, this morning visited the New Victoria Theatre, the Ambassadors, Peacocks Centre, Woking, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr Michael More-Molyneux).
His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended a Dinner at Investec Head Office, 30 Gresham Street, London EC2.
The Countess of Wessex, President, this morning visited the Brainwave South West Centre, Huntworth Gate, Bridgwater, to mark the Fortieth Anniversary, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Mr Mohammed Saddiq).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Christian Help and Action for Refugees in Somerset, 16-17 Hammet Street, Taunton. The Countess of Wessex afterwards visited Wivey Welcomes Refugees at St Andrew’s Church, Wiveliscombe.
Her Royal Highness, Ambassador, Women of the Future Programme, this evening attended the Women of the Future Awards and Dinner at the London Hilton on Park Lane, London W1, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

The Princess Royal, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Logistic Corps, this morning inspected 9 Regiment on public duties at St James’s Palace.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Not Forgotten Association, afterwards received Brigadier James Stopford upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive Officer and Colonel Richard Walker upon assuming the appointment.
The Princess Royal, Patron, United Kingdom Sailing Academy, received Mr Kevin George upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Rear Admiral Richard Stokes upon assuming the appointment.
Her Royal Highness, Commandant-in-Chief, First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (Princess Royal’s Volunteer Corps), received Commandant Philippa Lorimer upon relinquishing her appointment as Commanding Officer and Commandant Lisa Giles upon assuming the appointment.
