The Queen held a Privy Council via video link at 12.00 noon.

There were present: the Rt Hon Mark Spencer MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Michael Ellis MP (Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General), the Rt Hon Alister Jack MP (Secretary of State for Scotland) and the Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP (Secretary of State for Health and Social Care).

The Lord Doherty and the Lady Wise were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

Mr James Colman was received by The Queen this afternoon and delivered up the Insignia of the Order of the Garter worn by his father, the late Sir Timothy Colman.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning departed from Port Moresby International Airport, Papua New Guinea, for the United Kingdom.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the London Chorus, this afternoon received Professor Graham Anderson upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Professor Simon Heffer upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), St John Ambulance, subsequently visited the Ambulance Control Centre at 702 Taurama Road.

The Princess Royal afterwards opened the Women’s Resource Centre at Vabukori Village.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon met Elders and Community Leaders at Hanuabada Village.

The Princess Royal later visited Port Moresby (Bomana) War Cemetery at Bomana Road and laid a wreath on behalf of The Queen.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Adventure Park Papua New Guinea, Tanubada.

The Princess Royal subsequently visited Papua New Guinea National Museum and Art Gallery, Independence Drive.

Her Royal Highness, on behalf of Her Majesty, this evening held an Investiture at Government House, Champion Parade.

The Princess Royal later attended a Dinner held by the Governor-General of Papua New Guinea (Sir Robert Dadae) at Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Haus, Paga Ring Road.

The Duke of Gloucester, Royal Patron, the Blenheim Palace Festival of Literature, Film and Music, this evening attended a Reception held by the Ambassador of the Italian Republic (His Excellency Mr Raffaele Trombetta) at the Residence in London.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Enham Trust, this morning received Professor Khalid Aziz upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

The Duke of Kent, Patron, International Musicians Seminar Prussia Cove, this morning visited the Masterclass Seminar at Porth-en-Alls, Prussia Cove, and was received by Mr James Williams (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall).

Her Royal Highness, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, accompanied by Admiral Laurence, this afternoon departed from Australia for Papua New Guinea and was received later upon arrival at Port Moresby International Airport by the Hon James Marape (Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea).

The Princess Royal this evening called upon the Governor-General of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea and Lady Dadae at Government House, Champion Parade, Port Moresby.

Her Royal Highness later received the Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea and Mrs Marape at Airways Hotel, Jacksons Parade, Port Moresby.

The Princess Royal afterwards attended a Reception held by the Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea at Airways Hotel.

The Duke of Kent this afternoon opened Feritech Innovation Centre, Menerdue Lane, Redruth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).

His Royal Highness, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, later visited Penlee Lifeboat Station, Newlyn, and laid a wreath at sea to mark the Fortieth Anniversary of the Penlee Lifeboat Disaster.

Her Majesty met staff who have worked on the unit during the pandemic and heard about their roles in treating patients with Covid-19.

The Prince of Wales this morning visited Tebay Services (Southbound) beside the M6 Motorway near Penrith and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cumbria (Mrs Peter Hensman).

His Royal Highness this afternoon met business owners and members of the farming community, and resettled refugee families near Penrith.

The Prince of Wales afterwards visited Typhon Treatment Systems Limited (Cumwhinton), Wetheral Pasture, Carlisle.
