The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning arrived at Elgin Railway Station and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Moray (Lieutenant Colonel Grenville Johnston).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness drove to Royal Air Force Lossiemouth and were received by Major General the Hon. Seymour Monro (Deputy Lieutenant of Moray), the Station Commander (Group Captain Mark Chappell) and Wing Commander Chantal Baker (Commanding Officer Base Support Wing).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were received with a Royal Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness viewed Typhoon aircraft and met on-duty personnel before attending a Reception for Service personnel and their families in the Officers’ Mess.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently witnessed a fly-past by a Tornado and two Typhoon aircraft.

Her Majesty, Colonel-in-Chief, Corps of Royal Engineers, and His Royal Highness this afternoon visited 39 Engineer Regiment at Kinloss Barracks, Forres, and were received by Mr James Royan (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Moray) and the Commanding Officer (Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Marsden).
