The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning departed Rafael Núñez International Airport, Cartagena, for Mexico and were received upon arrival this afternoon at Benito Juarez Airport, Mexico City, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United Mexican States (His Excellency Mr Duncan Taylor).

His Royal Highness, accompanied by Her Royal Highness, later laid a wreath at the Panteón Inglés (the English Cemetery), Real del Monte, Hidalgo State.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards attended traditional “Day of the Dead” festivities at Real del Monte Zócalo and were received by the Governor of Hidalgo (José Francisco OlveraRuiz).

Their Royal Highnesses subsequently visited Escuela Pública Secundaria Magatzzi and laid the first turf of the School’s new football pitch.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall and The Duchess of Cornwall later attended a Reception at the Pasty Museum, celebrating Real del Monte’s Cornish heritage.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness drove to International Security Printers Limited, Unit G3, Valiant Way, Wolverhampton, and were received by the Managing Directors (Mr Paul White and Mr Ian Brigham).

The Queen, escorted by Mr White, and The Duke of Edinburgh, escorted by Mr Brigham, toured the factory floor, viewing the stamp-making process and meeting members of staff, and Her Majesty opened the factory.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, afterwards opened Jaguar Land Rover Engine Manufacturing Centre, Innovation Drive, Wolverhampton, and was received by Dr Ralf Speth (Chief Executive Officer) and Ms Lorraine Rogers (Director, Royal and Diplomatic Affairs).

Her Majesty, escorted by Chief Executive Officer, and His Royal Highness, escorted by the Director, toured the Centre, viewing the manufacturing process in the Machine and Assembly Halls and meeting members of staff and apprentices.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were entertained to Luncheon by the Chief Executive Officer.

The President viewed displays of current scientific research projects before meeting some of the Singaporean students studying at the College and subsequently visiting the Carbon Capture Pilot Plant.

The President of the Republic of Singapore and Mrs Tony Tan Keng Yam then concluded the State Visit to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this morning opened the Information Age gallery at the Science Museum, Exhibition Road, London SW7, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of London (Sir David Brewer), the Interim Chairman of the Science Museum Group Board of Trustees (Dr Gillian Samuels), Mr Ian Blatchford (Director, Science Museum Group) and the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (Councillor Maighread Condon-Simmonds).

The Queen, escorted by the Director, and The Duke of Edinburgh, escorted by the Interim Chairman, toured the gallery, meeting members of staff and Museum supporters, and Her Majesty posted a “tweet” to mark the opening.

By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) received Her Excellency Mrs Maria Mascarenhas at St James’s Palace this morning in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Cabo Verde to the Court of St James’s.
