Buckingham Palace 

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh today commenced a visit to South Wales to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee and were received upon arrival at Cardiff Central Railway Station by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Dr Peter Beck), the First Secretary of the National Assembly for Wales (the Rt Hon Carwyn Jones AM), the Secretary of State for Wales (the Rt Hon Cheryl Gillan MP) and the Lord Mayor of Cardiff (Councillor Professor Delme Bowen).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness drove to Llandaff Cathedral to attend a Thanksgiving Service for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and were received by the Dean (the Very Reverend John Lewis) and the Archbishop of Wales (the Most Reverend Dr Barry Morgan).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh today visited Margam Country Park, Port Talbot, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan (Mr Byron Lewis) and the Mayor of Neath Port Talbot (Councillor Henry Bebell).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness met representatives of charity, military and youth groups in the community and members of the Grand Slam winning rugby football team.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were subsequently entertained at a Civic Luncheon in the Orangery.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Cyfarthfa High (Lower) School, Cyfarthfa Park, Merthyr Tydfil, to mark its Centenary and were received by Her Majesty Lord-Lieutenant of Mid Glamorgan (Mrs Kathrin Thomas), the Chairman of Governors of Cyfarthfa High School (Mr Gareth Morgan), Mr Alan Pritchard (Head Teacher of the Junior Section) and the Mayor of Merthy Tydfil (Councillor Paul Brown).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards visited Cyfarthfa Castle Museum, Brecon Road, Merthyr Tydfil, and were received by the Chief Executive of Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (Mr Gareth Chapman), Councillor Jeffrey Edwards (Leader of the Borough Council) and Mr Scott Reid (Curator of the Museum).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness viewed exhibitions of artwork and items showing the industrial history of the region before meeting representatives from business and charity.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently watched a Diamond Salute march part by Merthyr Cadets and Reserves, before viewing displays by Mountain Rescue, Merthyr Scouts and the Forestry Commission.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee, today carried out the following engagements in the Isle of Man and were received by the Lieutenant-Governor (Mr Adam Wood).

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited the Team Royal London 360 Isle of Man Cycling Club at the National Sports Centre, Groves Road, Douglas.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards met local food producers and members of the local community in Peel and visited the House of Manannan, Peel.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Diamond Jubilee River Pageant, and Her Royal Highness subsequently met the crew of Vital Spark, a replica Viking longboat which will be taking part in the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards met local fishermen on the quayside in Peel and opened the Isle of Man Food Park.

Their Royal Highnesses subsequently visited Peel Lifeboat Station.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall later visited St George’s Church, 105 High Street, Belfast, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County Borough of Belfast (Dame Mary Peters) and the Rt Hon Peter Robinson MLA (First Minister of the Northern Ireland Assembly).

St James’s Palace 

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this morning visited the Headquarters of the Secret Intelligence Services at Vauxhall Cross, London SE1.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon attended a Reception at Goldsmiths’ Hall, London EC2, to celebrate the Centenary of the Scott-Amundsen Expedition to the South Pole.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this evening attended a Reception at the Imperial War Museum, London SE1, to launch the Imperial War Museum Foundation’s First World War Centenary Campaign, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Duke of York this morning received the High Commissioner for India (His Excellency Dr Jaimini Bhagwati).

His Royal Highness, Patron, English National Ballet, received Mr John Talbot (Chairman).

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, today undertook the following engagements in Philadelphia, United States of America.

His Royal Highness this afternoon met young people taking part in the United States Award at Girard College, 2101 South College Avenue.

The Earl of Wessex later visited Independence Hall, 520 Chestnut Street, and reviewed the First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry.

Her Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness, afterwards re-opened Cutty Sark Gardens, King William Walk, Greenwich, London SE10, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer) and the Mayor of the London Borough of Greenwich (Councillor J. Gillman).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently visited the Cutty Sark and were received by the Chairman of Trustees of the Cutty Sark Trust (the Lord Sterling of Plaistow) and Mr Richard Doughty (Director of the Cutty Sark).

Her Majesty, escorted by the Chairman, and His Royal Highness, escorted by the Director, toured the Ship, viewing displays and meeting those involved in the recent conservation project.

The Queen re-opened the Cutty Sark.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon visited the National Maritime Museum, Park Row, Greenwich, London SE10, and were received by the Director (Dr Kevin Fewster).

Her Majesty opened the exhibition, Royal River: Power, Pageantry and the Thames.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh viewed exhibits and were subsequently entertained to Luncheon at the Queen’s House, National Maritime Museum, by the Chairman of the National Maritime Museum (the Lord Sterling of Plaistow) to mark the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of the Museum.

By command of Her Majesty, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Her Excellency Ms Kamela Palma at 45 Crawford Place, London W1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as High Commissioner for Belize in London.

The Prince of Wales was represented by Sir Brian Ivory at the Memorial Service for Sir James Cayzer which was held in Canongate Kirk, Edinburgh, this afternoon.

Her Royal Highness this morning called upon The President of the Republic of Mozambique at the Presidential Offices, Julius Nyerere Avenue, Maputo.

The Princess Royal subsequently attended an Olympafrica “Ninety Nine Days to the Olympics” Ceremony, Boane, Maputo.

Her Royal Highness later visited Xipamanine Health Centre, Joaquim Chissano Avenue, Maputo.

The Princess Royal this afternoon attended a Receptiongiven by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Mozambique (His Excellency Mr. Shaun Cleary) at the Residence in Maputo.

Her Royal Highness afterwards attended a Church Service to commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in Anglican Church, Parish of St. Stephen and St. Lawrence, 24 July Avenue, Maputo.

The Princess Royal later attended a Garden Party given by the British High Commissioner to commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at the British High Commission, Avenida Vladimir I Lenine, Maputo.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by Mr. Aires Aly MP (Prime Minister of Mozambique) at the Indy Congress Hotel and Spa, Sommerschield, Maputo.
