The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh viewed an exercise class in the Gym and Her Majesty subsequently unveiled a plaque to open the Hospital.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon visited Stirling Castle and were received by the Hereditary Keeper (the Earl of Mar and Kellie) and the Rt. Hon. Alex Salmond MP (First Minister of the Scottish Executive).

Her Majesty, escorted by the Chief Executive of Historic Scotland (Ms. Ruth Parsons), and His Royal Highness, escorted by Mr. Chris Watkins (Head of Major Projects, Historic Scotland), toured James V Palace at Stirling Castle and met members of staff and contractors involved in the renovation of the Palace.

The Queen unveiled a plaque to open the renovated James V Palace.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were entertained to Luncheon by Historic Scotland at Stirling Castle and subsequently viewed a performance of music and dance.

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this afternoon presented new Colours to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th Battalions The Royal Regiment of Scotland in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, and was received by the Colonel of the Regiment (Lieutenant General Andrew Graham).

Her Majesty was received on parade with a Royal Salute.

After the Colours were consecrated, The Queen presented them to the Battalions of the Regiment.

Her Majesty was graciously pleased to address the parade and the Colonel of the Regiment replied.

The Battalions, carrying their new Colours, subsequently marched past The Queen.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, afterwards attended a Reception given by the Colonel of the Regiment in Holyrood Park.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon attended a Reception for war veterans at the Canadian War Museum, Ottawa, Canada.

Their Royal Highnesses later visited the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Centre, Montreal, Quebec, and were received by the Hon Jean Charest MP (Premier of Quebec).
