The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Lieutenant General Jeremiah Mateparae (Governor-General designate of New Zealand) was received in audience by The Queen when Her Majesty conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood as a Knight Grand Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit.

Lady Mateparae was also received by Her Majesty.

The Governor-General designate of New Zealand and Lady Mateparae remained to Luncheon with The Queen and The Earl of Wessex.

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning presented the Templeton Prize at Buckingham Palace.
