The Duke of Edinburgh, Royal Honorary Colonel, Royal Wessex Yeomanry, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Charles Speers upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Sharman upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness, Royal Patron, the Wren Project, this evening attended a Dinner at Spencer House, 27 St James’s Place, London SW1.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Patron, National Autistic Society, this morning visited a Cullum Centre at Salesian School, Guildford Road, Chertsey, and was received by Mr Nicholas Wood-Dow (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

Her Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, this afternoon received Lieutenant General Paul Jacques upon relinquishing his appointment as Master General and Major General David Eastman upon assuming the appointment.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps, received Colonel Paul Jackson upon assuming his appointment as Chief Nursing Officer.

The Princess Royal, Chancellor, University of the Highlands and Islands, this morning received Mrs Victoria Nairn upon assuming her appointment as Vice-Chancellor.

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of the Highlands and Islands, subsequently opened the Life Sciences Innovation Centre, Inverness Campus, and was received by Colonel Douglas Young (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Inverness).

The Princess Royal this afternoon visited Lochaber Rural Education Trust, An Clachan, Lochaber Rural Complex, Torlundy, Fort William, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Inverness (Mr James Wotherspoon).

Her Royal Highness later opened Caol Regeneration Company Limited’s Thomas Telford Corpach Marina, the Sea Lock, Caledonian Canal, Corpach, Fort William.

The Duke of Gloucester, President, Rescue and Preparedness in Disasters International, this morning received Mr Graham Payne (Director).

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this morning received Ms Janet Legrand upon assuming her appointment as Chairman. Mr Mark Dowie (Chief Executive) was present.

The King this morning took the salute at the Two Hundredth Sovereign’s Parade at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Camberley, and was received on arrival at Government House by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (Mr James Puxley), His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey (Mr Michael More-Molyneux) and the Commandant (Major General Zac Stenning).

The King presented New Colours to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst before addressing the Parade and distributing prizes.

His Majesty subsequently attended a Reception in Old College.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, this afternoon attended the Billie Jean King Cup Matches between Great Britain and France at the Coventry Building Society Arena, Judds Lane, Longford, Coventry, and was received by Professor Sir Nigel Thrift (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).
