The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a Luncheon at the National Liberal Club, 1 Whitehall Place, London SW1, given by the Oldie magazine in celebration of Her Royal Highness’s Seventy-Fifth Birthday, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

The following took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office: the Rt Hon Nadhim Zahawi MP (as Chancellor of the Exchequer), the Rt Hon Gregory Clark MP (as Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities), the Rt Hon Stephen Barclay MP (as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care), the Rt Hon James Cleverly MP (as Secretary of State for Education), the Rt Hon Shailesh Vara (as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland) and the Rt Hon Sir Robert Buckland (as Secretary of State for Wales).

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Mark Spencer MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

After the Council the Rt Hon Christopher Malthouse MP had an audience of The Queen, was sworn Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, kissed hands upon his appointment and received from Her Majesty the Seals of Office.
