The Princess Royal this morning departed Royal Air Force Northolt for the Netherlands and was received upon arrival at Rotterdam the Hague Airport, Rotterdam, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Her Excellency Mrs Joanna Roper).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Mercy Ships International, later commissioned the Hospital Ship, Global Mercy, at Parkkade, Rotterdam.

The Princess Royal, President, the Mission to Seafarers Limited, this afternoon visited the Schiedam Flying Angel Centre at Admiraal Trompstraat One, Haven, Rotterdam.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited The Royal Netherlands Marine Corps, Van Ghent Barracks, Toepad, Rotterdam.

The Princess Royal later arrived at Kemble Airport, Gloucestershire, from the Netherlands.
