The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, WISE, later attended a L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women In Science International Awards Reception at the World Heritage Centre, 7 Place de Fontenoy.

Her Royal Highness, Member, International Olympic Committee, and Chairman, International Olympic Committee Members Election Commission, this afternoon toured Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games’ sites.

The Princess Royal, Member, International Olympic Committee, Chairman, International Olympic Committee Members Election Commission, and Patron, Scottish Rugby Union, afterwards attended a Luncheon at the Residence.

Her Royal Highness subsequently visited Border Force Eurostar Command at Gare Du Nord, 18 Rue de Dunkerque.

The Princess Royal later arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, from France.

The Princess Royal this morning departed from Royal Air Force Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, for France and was received this afternoon upon arrival at Le Bourget Airport, Paris, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the French Republic (Her Excellency Mrs Menna Rawlings).

Her Royal Highness later attended the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe Race Day at Hippodrome ParisLongchamp, 2 Route des Tribunes, Paris.

The Princess Royal this evening planted a tree at the Residence in Paris as part of The Queen’s Green Canopy.

The Princess Royal later attended a Reception at the Residence for Personnel stationed in France from Regiments and Corps connected with Her Royal Highness.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Special Forces Club, subsequently attended a Reception at the Residence.

Windsor Castle

The Queen, accompanied by The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay and The Duchess of Rothesay, this morning drove to the Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh, and was received at Queensberry House by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost), Ms Alison Johnstone MSP (Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament) and the Rt Hon Nicola Sturgeon MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Government).

The Presiding Officer welcomed Her Majesty and Their Royal Highnesses and The Queen was graciously pleased to address the Scottish Parliament.

The First Minister subsequently addressed the Parliament and the Presiding Officer closed the Session of Parliament.

A Guard of Honour was found by The Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers at the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the High Constables of the Palace of Holyroodhouse were on duty.

Subsequently, The Queen, accompanied by The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay and The Duchess of Rothesay, attended a Reception for individuals from across Scotland who have been recognised for their contribution to their communities during the pandemic.

Her Majesty arrived at Windsor Castle this afternoon.

Her Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness, met local schoolchildren who were attending an education session on the Estate.

The Queen arrived at the Palace of Holyroodhouse from Balmoral Castle this afternoon.

The Queen was represented by Colonel Toby Browne (Crown Equerry) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Mrs. David Tudway-Quilter which was held in Wells Cathedral, Somerset, this afternoon.

His Royal Highness subsequently attended a Reception for the Financial Services Sector at the Bank of Scotland Foundation, the Mound.

The Queen held a Council via video link at 11.30am.

The Rt Hon Stewart Hosie MP and the Rt Hon Dame Elisabeth Laing made affirmation as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

The Rt Hon Elizabeth Truss MP took the Oath of Office as Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office.
