The Earl of Wessex, Royal Honorary Colonel, The Royal Wessex Yeomanry, this morning arrived in France and was received by Colonel Christopher Borneman (Military Attaché, representing Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the French Republic).

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Memorial Service at the Côte 112 Memorial and laid a wreath to commemorate the Anniversary of those who fell in the Battle for Hill 112 on 12th July, 1944 and laid a wreath.

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon attended a Reception at the Salle des Fêtes, Esquay-Notre-Dame, given by the Mayor of Esquay-Notre-Dame for representatives of the Association Odon Côte 112 and mayors of the local communes.

His Royal Highness later returned to the United Kingdom.

Her Majesty met members of staff before visiting the new factory building containing the Bottling Hall and viewing the bottling process.

The Queen afterwards started a new production line and opened the factory building, Ochils 2017.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today held Receptions at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this morning opened the Queen Elizabeth II Canal at the Helix, Grangemouth, and was received at Sea Lock by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Stirling and Falkirk (Mr Alan Simpson), the Chairman of Scottish Canals (Mr Andrew Thin) and Mr S Dunlop (Chief Executive Officer).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness embarked in the Seagull Trust boat The Wooden Spoon and travelled down the Western Approach to disembark at Kelpies Pool and were received by Ms Ann Ritchie (Depute Provost of Falkirk Council).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh witnessed a flypast by aircraft from the Scottish Airshow.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness afterwards entered into part of the Kelpie sculpture to view the engineering work and subsequently met groups of partners, stakeholders and community representatives outside the Visitor Centre.

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Regiment of Scotland, and The Duke of Edinburgh today arrived at Stirling Castle and were received by the Hereditary Keeper (the Earl of Mar and Kellie) who surrendered to The Queen the Keys of the Castle, which Her Majesty returned to him.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were afterwards received by the Chairman of the Trustees of The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Brigadier Bruce Russell) and the Colonel of The Royal Regiment of Scotland (Lieutenant-General Andrew Graham) before proceeding to the Chapel Royal and being received by the Reverend Gavin Douglas (Regimental Chaplain).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh attended a Commemoration Service to mark the Seventieth Anniversary of Her Majesty becoming Colonel-in-Chief of The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and Patron of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Regimental Association, and the Seventieth Anniversary of the granting of the Freedom of the Royal Burgh of Stirling to The Queen and The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.

After the Service Her Majesty and His Royal Highness met supporters and staff and former members of The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders before being entertained to Luncheon in the Great Hall by the Chairman of the Trustees.

This afternoon The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh drove through the Castle grounds and received a Royal Salute before departure.

Later the Prime Minister of Canada and Madame Trudeau were received by The Queen at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today carried out engagements in Ontario, Canada.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited 8 Wing/Canadian Forces Base Trenton and were received by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario (the Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell) and the Premier of Ontario (the Hon Kathleen Wynne).

The Prince of Wales afterwards viewed a Search and Rescue demonstration at the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre, Trenton.

His Royal Highness today met veterans and business representatives of The Prince’s Charities Canada “Prince’s Operation Entrepreneur” Programme at the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial, Trenton.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited Wellington Farmers’ Market, Wellington.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall subsequently visited Norman Hardie Winery, Wellington.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Colonel-in-Chief, The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, this morning met Members of the Regiment and their Families at the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre.

The Princess Royal, President, this morning presented Awards at Prize Day, the Royal School Haslemere, Farnham Lane, Haslemere, and was received by Mr Hugh Riley (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

Her Royal Highness, President, Royal Yachting Association, this afternoon opened the new facilities at Snettisham Beach Sailing Club, Snettisham Beach, King’s Lynn, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (Mr Richard Jewson).
