The Queen this morning attended a National Service of Thanksgiving for Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee in St Paul’s Cathedral.

Her Majesty was received at the foot of the Cathedral Steps by the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor (Alderman David Wootton) and at the Great West Door by the Dean (the Very Reverend David Ison) and Chapter, the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of Canterbury.

The Service was conducted by the Dean of St Paul’s; the Archbishop of Canterbury preached the Sermon.

Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms and The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

After the Service The Queen attended a Reception given by the Lord Mayor at Mansion House, London EC4.

Members of the Royal Family attended a Reception given by the City of London Corporation at Guildhall, London EC2.

The Queen, with The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Henry of Wales, was entertained to Luncheon by the Lord Great Chamberlain at Westminster Hall in the Palace of Westminster, London SW1.

This afternoon The Queen, with The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Henry of Wales, drove in a Carriage Procession from Westminster Hall to Buckingham Palace.

The Queen, from the Balcony of Buckingham Palace, with other Members of the Royal Family, afterwards witnessed a fly-past and Feu de Joie.

Her Majesty this evening gave a Reception for Governors-General visiting the United Kingdom at Buckingham Palace.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, the Great Steward of Scotland’s Dumfries House Trust, this evening held a Dinner at Dumfries House, Cumnock, Ayrshire.

Buckingham Palace 

The Duke of York, Patron, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, this evening attended the “East meets West” Concert at the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Grove, London SW7.

The Prince of Wales this morning received the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia (Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce).

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning this morning visited the Surrey County Show at the Surrey Showground, Guildford, and were received by Mr Gordon Lee-Steere (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey).

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited Godalming Sports for All, the Burys, Godalming, and were received by Vice Admiral Peter Dunt (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

The Earl and Countess of Wessex later opened the Music Festival and Picnic in the Park at Broomhall Recreation Ground, Sunningdale, and were received by Mr Andrew Planter (Deputy Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire).

Princess Alexandra, this afternoon attended a Street Party held by the Residents of the Chase, London SW4, to mark The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received at Chelsea Harbour Pier by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer) and The Prince of Wales, Patron, Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, and The Duchess of Cornwall, and walked past a Guard of Honour found by Chelsea Pensioners.

The Queen, accompanied by The Prince of Wales, and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall, were received on the jetty by Mr Thomas Woodcock (Garter Principal King of Arms), Sir Henry Paston-Bedingfield (Norroy and Ulster King of Arms), Mr Patric Dickinson (Clarenceux King of Arms), Mr David Sellar (Lord Lyon King of Arms), Dr Claire Boudreau (Chief Herald of Canada), Mr Paul Ludwig (The Queen’s Barge Master and Waterman) and Commodore (retired) Anthony Morrow (Chairman of the Association of Royal Yachtsman) and embarked in Britannia’s Barge.

Her Majesty and Their Royal Highnesses proceeded downstream to Cadogan Pier and, having transferred to Spirit of Chartwell, were received by the Chief Executive of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Foundation (Mr Michael Lockett), The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Henry of Wales and the Pageant Master (Mr Adrian Evans).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, with The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Henry of Wales, travelled downstream to Tower Bridge and came alongside HMS President.

Her Majesty and Their Royal Highnesses viewed the Pageant from Spirit of Chartwell and witnessed a flypast by the Royal Navy.

The Earl of Wessex, Royal Honorary Colonel, this morning visited the The London Regiment before deploying on operation at the Reserves Training and Mobilisation Centre Chetwyn Barracks, Chilwell, Nottingham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire (Sir Andrew Buchanan, Bt).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Blue Bell Hill Primary School, Gordon Road, Thorneywood, Nottingham, and joined the children’s celebrations for the Diamond Jubilee.

The Earl of Wessex later opened the new Joint Services Facility at St Ann’s Valley Centre, 2 Livingstone Road, Nottingham.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited Trebeck Hall, Southwell Minster, Church Street, Southwell, Nottingham, and viewed the Exhibition “Monarchy — Icons and Imagery of Royalty”.

The Countess of Wessex this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Monaco.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Royal College of Midwives, this morning visited Lothian Birth Centre at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, 51 Little France Crescent, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, this afternoon opened the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine, Edinburgh BioQuarter, 5 Little France Drive, Edinburgh.

The Princess Royal subsequently opened Nine, Edinburgh BioQuarter.

Kensington Palace 

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, this afternoon attended a Governing Body Meeting at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1.

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon attended a Service of Thanksgiving for The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in Winchester Cathedral and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Dame Mary Fagan).

The Countess of Wessex, on behalf of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, today attended the Monaco Grand Prix and this evening attended a Gala Dinner at the Monte Carlo Sporting Club, Monaco.
