COURT CIRCULAR

Palace of Holyroodhouse 

The Queen arrived at Edinburgh Airport this afternoon.

Her Majesty drove to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and was received in the Forecourt by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost) and members of the City of Edinburgh Council, when the Rt Hon the Lord Provost surrendered to The Queen the Keys of the City, which Her Majesty returned to him.

A Guard of Honour found by A Company, The Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, under the command of Major Angus Watson, was mounted in the Forecourt.

Afterwards The Queen was received inside the Palace by the Hereditary Keeper (the Duke of Hamilton and Brandon).

Her Majesty, Patron, later received members of the Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society in the garden of the Palace of Holyroodhouse who presented The Queen with a commemorative book to mark the Society’s Ninetieth Anniversary.

Having been received by the President of the Royal Scottish Country Dancing Society (Dr Alastair MacFadyen) and Mr John Wilkinson (Chairman), Her Majesty viewed a display of Scottish Country Dancing.

Clarence House 

The Prince of Wales this morning visited Llandovery Work Hub, King’s Road, Llandovery, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed (the Hon Robin Lewis).

His Royal Highness later visited Police Headquarters in Carmarthen.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust, this evening gave a Dinner.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the Public Catalogue Foundation, this morning visited Gomer Press Publishing House, Llandysul, Ceredigion, and was received by Miss Sara Edwards (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon held a Tea for the Dreams and Wishes charity supporting seriously ill children and their families

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Patron, this morning presented the TeenTech Awards at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Trustees, Outward Bound Trust, today held a Reception at Buckingham Palace for Aberdovey Outward Bound Centre.

The Duke of York this afternoon held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace of the United Kingdom Technology and Business Clusters Summit.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner at Barclays Bank plc, 1 Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London E14.

Buckingham Palace 

The Earl of Wessex was installed as Master of the Worshipful Company of Gardeners at the Mansion House, London EC4, this afternoon.

The Earl of Wessex, Master, and The Countess of Wessex this evening attended the Worshipful Company of Gardeners Installation Court Dinner at the Mansion House.

Buckingham Palace 

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today attended Marylebone Cricket Club Charter Day at Lord’s Cricket Ground, St John’s Wood Road, London NW8.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended Cotswold Life Food and Drinks Awards at the Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Dame Janet Trotter).

St James’s Palace 

The Duke of Kent, President, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, today attended Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships at Church Road, London SW19.
